尊敬的瑞典企业与创新部总司长海格勒夫女士，

尊敬的瑞中贸易委员会主席拉格奎斯特先生，

女士们，先生们，朋友们：

大家上午好。我代表中国驻瑞典大使馆，热烈欢迎赵海山副省长率领湖北省经贸代表团到访瑞典，举办中国湖北经贸合作推介会，对出席推介会的瑞方朋友们表示衷心的感谢！

Good morning! On behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Sweden, I’d like to extend warm welcome to the delegation led by Vice Governor Mr. Zhao Haishan, which is the host of the Hubei Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum. Also I’d like to extend heartfelt thanks to friends from Sweden for coming to the event.

 

今年3月底，我们使馆举办了首届中国-北欧智慧城市合作大会。4月上中旬，瑞典中国商会年会和第二届中国国际进口博览会路演在斯德哥尔摩成功举办。今天，湖北省举办中国湖北经贸合作推介会，这再次表明，中瑞经贸务实合作在双方政府和商界的共同推动下，正在健康、快速地发展，这也进一步表明中瑞经贸务实合作的巨大潜力正在得到发挥。借此机会，我愿与大家分享双方在贸易投资领域取得的最新合作成果。

At the end of March, our Embassy hosted the first Nordic-China Smart City Conference. In the first half of April, the Annual Conference of China Chamber of Commerce in Sweden and the second China International Import Expo road show were held in Stockholm. Today, Hubei Province hosts the Hubei Trade and Economic Cooperation Conference, which once again shows that China-Sweden economic and trade cooperation, with efforts by governments and business communities in our two countries, is maintaining sound and rapid development, and demonstrates that such cooperation has significant potential. I would also like to take this opportunity to share with you our latest cooperation outcomes.

 

首先是双方贸易规模不断扩大。2018年双边贸易额达171.5亿美元，同比增长15%，创历史新高。中方自瑞方进口89.5亿美元，瑞方保持顺差地位。其次是中国企业对瑞方投资不断涌现出新的成功案例，除大家熟知的吉利沃尔沃外，近两年浙江山鹰纸业、吉林康奈尔、福建雪人、上海泛亚等在瑞投资项目也获得成功，取得双赢的成果。截至2018年底，中方对瑞方累计投资75.7亿美元，瑞方对华投资50.1亿美元。我们欢迎瑞方企业扩大对华投资，希望双向投资规模不断扩大，领域不断拓展。

First, trade continued to grow. In 2018, bilateral trade reached USD 17.15 billion, increasing by 15% and hitting a new record. The Chinese side imported USD 8.95 billion from Sweden, and Sweden maintains a trade surplus. Second, there are new successful cooperation examples of Chinese investment in Sweden. Besides Geely-Volvo cooperation, which I’m sure you are familiar with, the investment projects of Shanying International of Zhejiang, Connel of Jilin, Snowkey of Fujian and Patac of Shanghai are all very successful, benefiting both Chinese and Swedish partners. As of the end of 2018, the Chinese side has invested USD 7.57 billion in Sweden, and the Swedish side USD 5.01 billion in China. We welcome Swedish companies to increase investment in China and hope that two-way investment continues to grow and expand.

近年来，中国政府提出长江经济带发展战略，它是中国新一轮改革开放转型实施的新区域开放开发战略。长江经济带战略提出以生态优先、绿色发展为引领，依托长江黄金水道，推动长江上中下游地区协调发展和沿江地区高质量发展，这些发展理念与瑞典所具有的优势高度契合。湖北省地处长江流域中心位置，交通枢纽地位突出，自然资源丰富，产业基础较好，城镇体系完备，在长江经济带战略中占据重要地位。湖北与瑞典的经贸务实合作前景广阔。

In recent years, the Chinese Government proposed the Yangtze River Economic Belt Development Strategy, which represents a new regional opening-up and development strategy in a new round of reform, opening-up and economic upgrading. This strategy prioritizes ecological and green development, and aims to promote coordinated development between the upper, middle and lower stream areas of the Yangtze River, and bring about high quality development along the route. Such development philosophies are highly compatible with the strength of Sweden. Hubei Province has an important position in this development strategy as it is located in central Yangtze River area, boasts an excellent location, abundant natural resources, a sound industrial base and a complete urban and rural system. There are bright prospects for Hubei-Sweden economic and trade cooperation.

 

今年是中华人民共和国成立70周年，明年将迎来中瑞建交70周年。在这两个重大节日来临之际，我们希望双方不断深化互利共赢的经贸务实合作。瑞典在绿色环保、智慧城市、新能源、生物医药和高端制造等领域技术水平全球领先，拥有一大批知名的创新型跨国企业和各具特色的中小科技企业。湖北省的经济实力、潜力、区位、市场、人才和资金等禀赋突出，有助于瑞典破解很多中小企业面临的本国市场有限和发展空间不足等制约，实现优势互补，强强联合。我希望在座的双方企业家们抓住本次推介会的契机，开启湖北与瑞典经贸合作的新篇章。

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. Next year, we will celebrate the 70th anniversary of China-Sweden diplomatic ties. When we embrace the two joyous occasions, we hope that both sides will continue to deepen mutually beneficial economic cooperation. Sweden is highly advanced in green development, smart city, new energy, bio-medicine and high-end manufacturing, and has a large number of renowned innovative transnational companies and SMEs with their distinctive features. Hubei Province, with its strength in economic capacity and potential, its location, market, personnel and capital, is a solution for many Swedish SMEs troubled by the limit of market size and room for growth in their home country. They can well draw on each other’s strength and grow together. I hope the entrepreneurs from China and Sweden will seize today’s opportunity and open up a new chapter for Hubei-Sweden economic and trade cooperation.
