②comparison前可加定语,后面常接用with或to,但以用with为较普通。
【例】We request you to make a careful comparison of these goods with those you are now buying elsewhere.

强迫,迫使
【例】The accident in our factory compelled us to postpone the delivery of your order.

compensate
【1】赔偿,补偿
①【例】Many factories compensate their workers if they are hurt at work.
对工人工伤,许多工厂都抚恤赔偿。
②说明因何赔偿,要用for引起。
【例】The insurance company will undertake to compensate you for the losses according to the risks covered.
保险公司将按照投保险别负责赔偿损失。
【2】compensate for赔偿,补偿
【例】Your prices are slightly higher than we had expected but as the quality was also higher than we had expected, then the one thing compensates for the other.
你方价格比我们预料的要高一点,不过质量也比我们预料的要好,因此失之一方由另一方得到了补偿。
