The International Conference on Cognitive Research on Translation and Interpreting (ICCRTI) started in 2014 at the Centre for Studies of Translation, Interpreting and Cognition (CSTIC), University of Macau. Sincethen, six conferences have been held at the University of Macau (2014—2016), Beijing Foreign Studies University (2017), Renmin University of China (2018) and Southwest University (2019). The conference has become an international forum for the presentation and discussion of up-to-date cognitive research on translation and interpreting.
The 7th International Conference on Cognitive Research on Translation and Interpreting will be held on 18—20 September 2020 at Durham University, UK. This conference will focus on Emerging Topics in Cognitive Translation and Interpreting Studies. Papers presented at the conference will be selected through peer review process to be published in a special issue of Translation Quarterly or a book of Springer’s New Frontiers of Translation Studies series.

Emerging Topics in Cognitive Translation and Interpreting Studies
Proposals are invited to address one of the following or related topics:

·Sociological approach to translation and interpreting processes
·Ergonomics of translators and interpreters
·Emotions and attitudes in translation and interpreting
·Reception studies in translation and interpreting
·Cognitive aspects of machine translation

Submission of Abstracts
We invite papers on one of the conference themes or related topics in cognitive translation studies. The language of the conference will be English. The submission deadline is 15 June 2020. Intended participants will fill in the form (including abstracts, participant’s names, affiliation and contact information) and submit to the conference email: transcognition2020@163.com.
Registration and Fees
Registration is required for all presenters and participants of the conference. The standard registration fee for theconference is £180. The registration fee for full-time students (copy of student ID required) is £90. The link for paying registration fee will be released on 1 August 2020.
Please note that the fee covers the conference pack, refreshments, lunches during conference and certificate for participation. The fee does NOT cover travel, accommodations or other fees not specified.
