各位嘉宾，女士们，先生们，朋友们，

热烈欢迎并衷心感谢大家出席今天的招待会，与我们一同庆祝中华人民共和国73岁生日。

A very warm welcome and heartfelt appreciation to all of you for attending today’s reception to celebrate with us the 73rd birthday of the People’s Republic of China.

由于新冠疫情影响，过去两年的国庆活动只能在线上举行，朋友们的祝福与相互问候只能借助通讯网络来实现，今天我们终于相聚一堂！这里到处张灯结彩，笑语欢声。让我们尽情享受这份重逢的喜悦和友情。

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, in the past two years, our National Day events could only be held online, and the blessings and mutual greetings of friends could only be realized through telecommunication networks. Today, we finally manage to be rallied here in-person with joy and laughter and in auspicious festoons and decorations. Let us enjoy the joy of the reunion and friendship to the fullest.

此时此刻，我们要感谢泰国政府和人民，是因为他们成功的疫情防控才有了我们今天的相聚。今天的招待会标志着我们正在走出疫情影响，全面恢复正常接触和交往。

At this moment, we would like to express gratitude to the Royal Thai Government and the Thai people. It is because of their successful pandemic prevention and control that we are here today. Today’s reception marks a moment when we are stepping out of the impact of the pandemic and fully returning to normal contacts and exchanges.

过去两年多来，尽管新冠疫情延宕，天下很不太平，但中国始终在稳步发展前行。我们在中华大地上全面建成小康社会，历史性解决绝对贫困问题，开启全面建设社会主义现代化国家新征程。我们统筹疫情防控和经济社会发展，取得积极成效。尽管作为14亿人口大国防疫任务极为艰巨，但中国新冠肺炎感染率死亡率全球最低。2020年中国经济增长2.3%，是全球唯一实现正增长的主要经济体。2021年中国经济增长8.1%，是全球增长最快的国家之一。今年以来，面对复杂严峻的外部环境，中国坚持稳中求进工作总基调，采取一系列宏观调控措施，经济发展基本面继续保持稳中有进、长期向好。

Over the past two years and more, despite the lingering COVID-19 pandemic and the very unpeaceful world, China’s development has been progressing stably. We have completed the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects on the vast land of China, solved the problem of absolute poverty historically, and ushered in a new journey of building a modern socialist country in all respects. We coordinated well pandemic prevention and control and economic and social development, and achieved positive results. Daunting as task of pandemic prevention may be, China, a country with a population of 1.4 billion, managed to maintain the lowest COVID-19 infection rate and mortality rate in the world. China’s economy grew by 2.3% in 2020, the only major economy in the world achieving positive growth. China’s economy grew by 8.1% in 2021, one of the fastest growing countries in the world. Since the beginning of this year, in the face of a more complex and severe exterior environment, China has adhered to the underlying principle of seeking progress while maintaining stability, and adopted a series of macro-control measures. The fundamentals of its economic development have continued to maintain steady progress with a long-term upward momentum.

去年我们隆重庆祝中国共产党成立100周年，全面总结百年奋斗重大成就和历史经验，进一步坚定了走中国特色社会主义道路、走和平发展道路的决心与信念。再过二十天，中国共产党将召开第二十次全国代表大会，这是在中国迈上全面建设社会主义现代化国家新征程的关键时刻召开的一次具有重大意义的会议。这次大会将科学谋划未来5年乃至更长时期党和国家事业发展的目标任务和大政方针。中国人民正信心百倍、意气风发，在以习近平同志为核心的党中央领导下，为实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦不懈奋斗。

Last year, we solemnly celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), comprehensively summed up the major achievements and historical experience in the past century, and further strengthened the determination and faith to follow the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and peaceful development. In 20 days, the CPC will hold its 20th National Congress, which is a congress of great historical significance at a critical moment when China embarks on a new journey of building a modern socialist country in all respects. This congress will scientifically plan the goals and tasks, major lines and policies for the development of the CPC and the country in the next five years or even longer. Under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, the Chinese people, full of confidence and in high spirits, are making unremitting efforts to realize the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Dear friends,

当前世界正经历着百年未有之大变局，各种问题和挑战层出不穷，全球治理面临新考验。为凝聚合力应对挑战、促进世界经济复苏和可持续发展、破解全球安全困境，习近平主席直面和平与发展的时代主题，先后提出全球发展倡议和全球安全倡议，为完善全球发展和安全治理体系、消弭人类发展赤字和和平赤字贡献了中国智慧和中国方案。中国过去、现在和将来始终是世界和平的建设者、全球发展的贡献者、国际秩序的维护者。

the world is currently undergoing profound changes unseen in a century, with various problems and challenges emerging one after another, and global governance is facing new tests. In order to pool synergy to meet challenges, promote the recovery and sustainable development of the world economy, and solve the global security dilemma, President Xi Jinping, in face of the theme of peace and development of the era, has successively proposed the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and the Global Security Initiative (GSI), contributing Chinese wisdom and solutions to improving the global development and security governance system as well as eliminating human development deficits and peace deficits. China has always been and will continue to be a builder of world peace, a contributor to global development, and a defender of the international order.

APEC领导人非正式会议不久将在曼谷召开，我们期待着在东道主泰国的主持下，这次会议能够聚焦亚太，聚焦合作，为推动亚太共同体建设发挥重要作用。中方愿同包括泰方在内的国际社会一道，为推动构建相互尊重、公平正义、合作共赢的新型国际关系，为构建人类命运共同体不断作出新贡献。

In a short time, the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting will be held in Bangkok. We expect that under the auspices of the host Thailand, this meeting will focus on the Asia-Pacific, highlight cooperation, and play an important role in promoting the building of the Asia-Pacific Community. China will work with the international community, including Thailand, to promote the building of a new type of international relations featuring mutual respect, fairness and justice, and win-win cooperation, and make new contributions to building a community with a shared future for mankind.
