驻印度大使罗照辉在洒红节招待会上的讲话

Remarks by H. E. Ambassador Luo Zhaohui at Holi Milan Celebration

尊敬的印度青年领袖联合会主席夏斯特里先生，

尊敬的印度青年领袖联合会执行主席苏万先生，

驻印使节们，女士们，先生们，朋友们：

Namaste! And a very good morning.

 

欢迎到中国使馆作客。很高兴与印度青年领袖联合会一起，共同举办洒红节庆祝活动。

Welcome to Chinese Embassy. I am delighted to co-host today’s Holi Milan celebrations with CYL.

 

上个月我们刚刚庆祝了中国春节，洒红节与春节有很多相似之处，可谓 “印度春节”。不到2个月时间，在德里的中国外交官们庆祝两个“春节”，很是幸运。这也说明了中印两国有许多共性。在中国，春节意味着希望，快乐和生机。印度洒红节也代表了生机，喜悦和色彩。今天我们与印度朋友共同分享这一多彩节日的欢乐。

Holi is quite similar to Chinese Spring Festival. Maybe we could consider it as the “Indian Spring Festival”. We just celebrated the Chinese Spring Festival last month. Within two month we celebrate two spring festivals. My colleagues and I feel lucky for living in India. It also shows many similarities between China and India. In China spring represents hope, happiness and life. Holi also symbolizes life, joy and colors. Today we are happy to share the joy of this colorful festival with India friends.

 

庆祝洒红节也是我们了解印度悠久历史文化的大好机会。印度历史悠久，有诸多神话传说和节日。每个节日背后都有一个故事。洒红节也有它的历史由来。庆祝这些节日，就是体验印度历史文化。

Celebrating Holi is a good chance to learn Indian’s long history and colorful cultures. India is an ancient civilization with a lot of god, goddess and festivals. There is a story behind each festival. Holi has its own legend. Celebrating these festivals is a great way to experience and learn about the history and culture of India.

 

春天更是寄语许愿的美好时候。在此，我祝愿中印两国发展前景光明，两国人民生活更加美好。中国 “两会”成功落下帷幕。中国人民正努力实现“中国梦”，印度人民也在建设“新印度”。两国都致力于提升人民生活水平。去年中国国内生产总值（GDP）增长6.6%，总额达14万亿美元，人均GDP近10000美元。中印是世界上人口最多的国家，如果两国人民能够过上好日子，那么世界将会变得更美好。

Spring is a good season to make good wishes. Here I wish both counties a prosperous future and two peoples better lives. China has just concluded the CPPCC and NPC sessions. Chinese people are pursing the “Chinese dream”. Indian people are building a “New India”. Both countries are working hard to improve people’s livelihood. Last year Chinese GDP grew by 6.6%, reaching 14 trillion USD. The per capita GDP nearly reached 10,000 USD. China and India has the largest populations in the world. When the people of China and India enjoy a better life, the whole world would become a better place.

 

在此，我祝愿中印关系保持积极发展态势。去年，习近平主席与莫迪总理在武汉举行首次领导人非正式会晤，擘画中印关系发展新蓝图。2018年两国贸易额达955亿美元。1000多家中国公司在印开展业务，创造了近20万个就业岗位。我们愿进一步深化两国友好交往与务实合作。

Here I wish China-India relations continue to maintain the positive momentum. Last year President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi held the first round of informal summit in Wuhan, setting out a new blueprint for China India relations. Last year the bilateral trade volume reached 95.5 billion US dollars. Over 1,000 Chinese companies are doing business in India, creating more than 2 lakh jobs. We hope to further enhance the friendly exchanges and concrete cooperation between the two countries.

 

在此，我祝愿在场所有朋友们节日快乐、身体健康。让我们携手努力，创造更加美丽的世界，推进更加良好的中印关系，让我们的生活像洒红节一样缤纷多彩。

Here I wish all the guests present today good health, prosperity and every success. Let us join hands to make the world brighter, to make China-India relations better and to make our lives as colorful as the Holi.
