竞争

 

①句式：compete against [with] sb for sth。

【例】Japan competes in textiles against Britain.

日本在纺织品方面与英国竞争。

 

②有时可用compete with sth。

【例】We’re competing with well-known products, so we should start with an especially low price for our new product.

我们是在同名牌产品竞争，所以刚开始我们应该将我们新产品的价格定得特别低。

 

③可接用动词不定式，句式：compete to do sth。

【例】Several advertising agencies are competing to get the contract.

几家广告公司都在为取得这一合同而竞争。

①【例】You should select competent workers to deal with those buyers.

你们应该挑选有能力的人员去应付那些买主。

 

②作表语时，可接用不定式，句式be competent to do sth。

【例】They are competent to deal with those customers.

他们是能够应付那些顾客的。

 

③作表语时，可接用for，句式：be competent for sth。

【例】We are fully competent for the sales promotion of your products here.

我们完全有能力在此为你方推销产品。
