【2】津贴，救济金

 

【例】Workers enjoy more fringe benefits in our factory than in yours.

我们工厂的工人享受的附加福利比你们工厂的工人多。

 

【3】for one’s benefit，for the benefit of为……利益

 

①【例】We assure you of every cooperation and take an interest in continuing business with you for our mutual benefit.

为了双方的利益，我们保证通力合作并继续同你方开展业务。

 

②有时，有人将其用作 to one’s benefit（对……有利）之意。

【例】We expect to hear from you shortly that business has resulted for our mutual benefit.

【4】to one’s benefit，to the benefit of对……有利，对……有好处

 

①用作状语

【例】In case of order, it is our desire to render our technical assistance, so that the plant will eventually run to your benefit and to the benefit of industrial development in your country.

如果你方给以订单，我们愿尽力给以技术上的帮助，以便这一成套设备对你公司有利，对贵国的工业发展有利。

 

②有时也用作表语。

【例】As to partial shipment, it would be to your benefit because you could ship immediately whatever you have on hand instead of waiting for the whole lot to be completed.
