Whorfian

Lee Whorf (1897-1941), especially as propounded in the Whorfian hypothesis (alternatively, the Sapir-Whore hypothesis), which states that our conceptual categorization of the world is determined (wholly or partly) by the structure of our native language. In its strong form, the hypothesis is not accepted by most linguists.
