非常高兴出席华为公司2019年“未来种子”项目启动仪式。首先，我谨在此向即将作为华为“未来种子”项目代表赴华学习交流的同学们表示祝贺，向克罗地亚政府和克数字社会发展办公室对该项目的大力支持表示感谢！
It gives me great pleasure to attend the launching ceremony of “Huawei Croatia: Seeds for the Future 2019 Program”. First of all, I wish to extend my warmest congratulations to the students who are going to study and exchange in China as representatives of Huawei’s “Seeds for the Future” program and express my appreciation to Croatian Government and Central State Office for the Development of Digital Society for the great support to this project.
该项目是中克两国领导人高层互访的积极成果。去年11月，普连科维奇总理访华并出席首届中国国际进口博览会期间，与华为公司代表谈及“未来种子”项目。今年4月，华为公司与克数字社会发展办公室签署了“未来种子”创新和技术培训计划，作为李克强总理访克并出席第八次中国一中东欧国家（17+1）领导人会晤的丰富成果之一。根据该计划，在未来5年内，华为公司每年将选派10名克罗地亚大学生到中国华为总部参观和学习，鼓励他们参与数字社会建设。据我所知，华为自2008年启动该项目以来，已邀请来自125个国家的4725名青年到中国学习当今世界最先进的通信技术。
This program resulted from the high level exchange of visits by the leaders of our two countries. In November last year, Croatian Prime Minister Mr. Plenković visited China and attended the first China International Import Expo, during which he talked about “Seeds for the Future” program with Huawei representatives. In April this year, Huawei signed “Seeds for the Future” innovation and technology training program with Croatian Central State Office for the Development of Digital Society as one of the fruitful results by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang’s official visit to Croatia and his attendance at the 8th Summit of “17+1 Cooperation”. According to the program, Huawei will send 10 Croatian college students to visit and study in Huawei headquarter in China each year for the next five consecutive years to encourage them to participate in building digital society. As far as I know, since the launching of this program by Huawei in 2008, 4725 students from 125 nations have been invited to China to gain hands-on practice of the latest ICT technologies.
当前，中克关系保持强劲发展势头，进入历史上最好时期之一。两国经济具有很强的互补性，都处于经济向高质量发展转变的关键时期。数字化革命是未来经济社会发展的方向，将对所有领域带来根本性改变。我注意到，上周克罗地亚举办了一场题为“克罗地亚需要数字社会”的会议，提出数字化是社会进步的先决条件，克罗地亚应赶上快速发展的数字化变革。我相信华为公司“未来种子”项目将为克青年人才接触通信技术领域尖端技术、进而为克社会数字化发展服务打造良好平台，为推动中克两国在数字经济领域的合作做出贡献。
China-Croatia relations have maintained a strong momentum of development and entered one of the best periods in history. The two economies are highly complementary with each other and both are at a crucial stage of transformation to high-quality economic development. The digital revolution is the direction of future economic and social development, which will bring fundamental changes to all areas. I have noticed that last week Croatia held a conference entitled “The Croatia We Need – Digital Society”, which put forward views that digitalization is a precondition for the society’s progress and that Croatia should catch up with fast digital transformation. I firmly believe Huawei’s “Seeds for the Future” program will create a platform for Croatian young talents to get access to cutting-edge technologies in the ICT industry, enable them to better serve the digital development of the Croatian society, and contribute to the cooperation between China and Croatia in the field of digital economy.
国之交在于民相亲，民之交在于心相通。中克共同推进“一带一路”建设，不仅加强政策沟通、道路联通、贸易畅通、货币流通，同样要加强民心相通。该项目为克罗地亚年轻人深入了解华为、了解现代中国创造了机会。希望参加该项目的同学们充分利用此次机会学习通信技术，开拓眼界，提升能力，不仅成为信息与通信技术行业和数字经济发展的未来种子，也成为中克两国相互理解和友谊的未来种子。
National relationship is based on affection of the peoples. Currently China is working together with Croatia to construct Belt and Road which is a road of connectivity of not only about policy, infrastructure, trade, financing, but also very importantly about people to people exchange. The program created opportunities for Croatian young people to have an in-depth understanding of Huawei and modern China. I hope that all the students could make full use of this opportunity to develop ICT talent, broaden your horizon and improve your abilities. I sincerely hope that all of you could become the future seeds of the ICT industry and digital economy, as well as the future seeds of friendship and mutual understanding between China and Croatia.
自进入克罗地亚以来，华为一向为克民众和企业提供优质产品和服务，创造了多个就业岗位，同时也积极承担社会责任。未来，华为在克业务还将拓展到学校、医院、智慧城市等领域。“未来种子”项目就是华为公司着眼两国关系未来发展、造福两国人民的有益尝试，也是在克中资企业切实履行社会责任、促进民心相通的实践缩影。我们认为，5G等华为先进技术是人类科技进步的产物，应该由全世界共享。中国坚决反对有些国家对华为的无端打压，坚决反对单边主义、保护主义和霸凌主义。
Since its entry into Croatia, Huawei has been providing high-quality products and services to Croatian people and enterprises, created a number of jobs and actively assumed social responsibilities. It is hoped that their service will be provided to schools, hospitals, smart cities etc in future. The “Seeds for the Future” program is a beneficial attempt by Huawei to strengthen future development of our bilateral relations and well being of our two peoples. It is also an epitome of how Chinese companies in Croatia earnestly fulfill their social responsibilities and promote people to people exchanges. We also believe Huawei advanced technology like 5G is the result of mankind’s progress in science and technology and should be shared by the people in the world. China resolutely opposes the unwarranted suppression of Huawei by some countries and resolutely opposes unilateralism, protectionism and hegemonism.
中克两国在支持自由贸易、开放经济和多边主义等方面达成诸多共识。保护主义阻碍时代发展。我相信我们的克罗地亚朋友都将继续支持中国企业按照公平竞争和市场原则开展互利共赢合作，促进共同发展。
China and Croatia share the same views of supporting free trade, open economy and multilateralism. Protectionism is against the trend of the times. It is my sincere hope that our Croatia friends will continue to support Chinese companies to carry out win-win cooperation and promote common development in accordance with fair competition and market principles.
最后，我祝愿今年“未来种子”项目取得圆满成功！祝各位青年朋友学有所成，为克罗地亚的发展、为中克友好合作关系的发展做出更大贡献！
Finally, I wish “Seeds for the Future” program this year a complete success! I wish you all success in your studies and greater contributions to the development of Croatia and the friendly relations and cooperation between our two countries!
