在迎来2019年第一缕阳光之际，我谨代表中国驻马来西亚大使馆，向马来西亚人民，向所有关心和支持中马关系发展的各界友人致以新年的问候！
As the first sunshine of 2019 dawning upon us, on behalf of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, I wish the Malaysian people and all the friends who support and promote China-Malaysia friendship a happy and prosperous new year!
2018年是极不平凡的一年，世界经历了动荡与变革的洗礼，也孕育了稳定与发展的希望。在逆全球化思潮和保护主义的阴云下，各方对人类发展前景既有憧憬也有担忧。而中马两国政府和人民，凭着自身坚定的信念和非凡的勇气，义无反顾地迎接机遇和挑战，在各自的国家发展道路上砥砺前行，取得了令人瞩目的成就。中国迎来了改革开放40周年，经济发展取得累累硕果，在造福本国人民的同时，也为世界经济可持续发展作出了巨大贡献。展望未来，中国政府和人民将不会止步，继续为实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦而不懈奋斗。马来西亚在年中顺利举行大选，实现政权平稳过渡。我们相信，在马新政府领导下，马来西亚人民一定能在追求国家稳定与繁荣的道路上行稳致远，取得更大的成就。
The year 2018 was far from ordinary. Our world has gone through some dramatic changes, yet still, we saw prospects of stability and development. It has been a year when the clouds of anti-globalization and protectionism cast shadows on our world, and a year when some people started to wonder in hopes and fears about the future we were heading to. Fortunately, with firm faith and sheer courage, the governments and peoples of China and Malaysia coped with opportunities and challenges head-on, and took a steady step forward on our path of national development respectively. This year 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of Reform and Opening up, China impressed the world by remarkable achievements which have brought about tremendous benefits to the Chinese people as well as contributed to the sustainable development of the world economy. Looking into the future, the Chinese government and people will not halt our step, and will work unremittingly to realize the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation. In 2018, Malaysia witnessed a historical general election and a smooth change of government. We believe that under the leadership of the new government, Malaysia will achieve further progress and march steadily towards prosperity and stability.
2019年是中马两国建交45周年。近半个世纪以来，我们始终视彼此为亲密互信的邻居、真诚合作的伙伴。两国友谊历经时间和风雨的考验，双方合作为两国人民带来了实实在在的利益。马哈蒂尔总理执政伊始即成功正式访华，同中国领导人共同向世界展示了继续推进中马友好合作的决心。新的一年里，我们愿与马来西亚政府和人民携手努力，以两国建交45周年为契机，推动两国友好合作关系在新的历史起点上再出发，为两国人民带来更多福祉。
The year 2019 marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. Over the past half century, China and Malaysia always regard each other as close neighbors and trustworthy partners. Our friendly and cooperative relations have withstood the test of time and have brought tangible benefits to the peoples. Last August, Prime Minister Dr. Tun Mahathir paid a successful official visit to China soon after his assumption of office. Leaders of our two countries showed to the world our shared determination to further push forward China-Malaysia friendly cooperation. Looking forward into the year of 2019, the Chinese side is ready to join hands with the Malaysian government and people, taking the 45th anniversary as a great opportunity, to embark on a new journey and take China-Malaysia cooperative partnership to the new heights.
新年的钟声已敲响，历史正在掀开新的篇章，无论对我们每一个人还是中马两国来说，2019年都是孕育着无穷希望的一年。我祝愿所有人在新的一年里奋力拼搏，去追逐和实现自己的梦想。而我最大的梦想，就是中马两国繁荣稳定，人民幸福安康，中马友谊地久天长！
The bell of New Year has been rung, and a new chapter of history has already begun. For China and Malaysia, the year 2019 stretches ahead of us, full of possibilities and aspirations. I wish everyone could go all out in work and to fulfill his or her own dreams. For me, my biggest wishes to go after are the prosperity and stability of China and Malaysia, the good health and well-being of the Chinese and Malaysian people, and the ever-lasting friendship between our two countries.
