【例】Since your TV set was used in such extreme heat conditions, we cannot honour the two-year replacement warranty.

【1】希望

①接用不定式。

【例】I hope to have your order soon.

盼早日获得你方订单。

②接用从句。

【例】As the season is now approaching, we hope that you will send us your orders as early as possible.

（销售）季节即将来临，希望尽快寄来订单。

【2】希望

①【例】We take this opportunity to write you with a hope to get your best offers for Chinese bicycles. 

现乘机与贵方通信，希望取得中国自行车的最低报盘。

②后面可接用同位语从句（这类名词除hope外还有fact，thought，idea，news，doubt，conclusion等）。

【例】There is every hope that this market trend will continue.

很有可能这种市场趋势要继续发展下去。

【3】in the hope of [in hopes of]怀着……的希望

接用动名词。

【例】We approach you today in the hope of establishing mutually beneficial trading relations.

我们今天同你方联系，希望建立互惠的贸易关系。

【4】in the hope that [in hopes that]怀着……的希望

【例】We are now writing to you in the hope that you will give this matter your further consideration.
