【1】足够的，充分的

 

①【例】We are sorry to say that we have not enough cargo to use the whole shipping space booked.

很抱歉，我们货物不够，不能利用所订的全部舱位。

 

②enough可置于所修饰的名词之前或之后。

【例】Are there enough stocks [stocks enough] to meet their requirements?

有足够的存货来满足他们的需要吗?

 

③enough后可接用不定式。

【例】Ah! If only there were money enough for us to make such a bargain.

啊！如果我们有足够的金钱来做成这样一笔买卖就太好了。

 

【2】足够地，充分地

 

①置于所修饰的形容词、副词等之后。

【例】Is the quality of their product good enough?

他们产品的质量够好吗?

 

②enough后可接用不定式。

【例】We note with surprise that our new quotation is considered not low to meet your wishes.

我们甚感惊讶，贵公司仍嫌我方新的报价太高。

 

enquire, inquire

询盘，询价，询购

 

此词有两种拼法。在外贸中一般的“询问”多用inquire。“询购”“询价”等多用enquire，后面接用for。

【例】Mr. Jones inquires for 50 MT walnuts.

琼斯先生询购50公吨核桃。

③可用作定语。

【例】Please quote us for the supply of the items listed on the enclosed enquiry form, giving your prices CFR Lagos.
