【例】As it is the custom of our firm to insist upon payment in advance with the first orders, we must request you to favour us with a remittance covering the amount of our proforma invoice enclosed.

对于首次订货，坚持预付货款是我公司的惯例，我们不得不要求贵方按所附形式发票的金额汇来货款。

 

【2】惠顾，光顾

 

【例】We welcome the prospect of your renewed custom.

欢迎你方重新光顾。

 

【3】海关，关税

 

①常用复数形式，表示海关机构时可大写。

【例】Customs are collected at the Customs-house.

在海关征收关税。

 

②用作定语，组成复合名词。

【例】Duties are paid on the basis of a customs invoice.

（进口）关税是以海关发票为基础进行支付的。

通常的，习惯的

 

【例】Unless particular instructions are given by the buyer, the goods shall be packed in suitable and customary cases or bales for export shipment at the seller’s option.

除买方有特殊指示者外，货物应采用适合出口的恰当而惯用的箱子或大包作包装，由卖方决定。
