用作个体名词时，常用复数；用作集合名词时，单数是“许多顾客”的总称。

【例】For your information, we have good connections [a good connection] all over this country.

①【例】We understand that you have built up a wide connections among buyers in the African market.

②后面常接用with。

【例】Our firm has extensive connections with food stores in the cities and towns.
