Dealing with Stress
A: Are you OK? You look a bit stressed.
B: I’m OK. I’m just a bit tired.
A: Have you been sleeping enough?
B: Not really. This project has been keeping me up at night.
A: That’s not good. Work shouldn’t keep you from sleeping.
B: I agree, but what can I do about it? If I fall asleep at night, I always end up waking up after a few hours with work on my mind.
A: Have you talked to your manager about your concerns about the project?
B: No, but I’m not sure what she could do about it. There isn’t any more money in the budget to hire anyone else and I’m just simply overworked.
A: Have you written down all your issues? Sometimes it helps to have all your problems written down to get them out of your head.
B: That’s a good idea.
A: You should also keep a pad of paper and pen by your bed so you can write down your ideas immediately.
B: I’ll try that. Thanks for the advice.
