Nominal

名词

A term used in some grammatical descriptions as a substitute for noun (e.g. nominal group “noun phrase”). In a more restricted sense, nominals refer to words which have some of the attributes of nouns but not all, e.g. the poor are many, where the head word of this phrase does not pluralize (the poors).

有些语法描写用作NOUN（名词）的替代语（例如nominal group=noun phrase“名词组”）。按狭义理解指具有名词的部分属性而不是全部属性的词，例如The poor are many“穷人多”中，短语的中心词没有复数形式(the poors)。
