Node

节点

A term used in generative grammar to refer to any point in a tree from which one or more branches emanate. A “family” metaphor is often used in the discussion of nodes. A node which immediately dominates another is called a “mother” node; the dominated node is its “daughter”; if two nodes are directly dominated by the same node, they are “sister” nodes. A node which is separated from its mother in a derivation is said to have been “orphaned”.

生成语法术语，指树中作一次或多重交叉的点。经常用“家庭关系”的隐喻来讨论节点。一个节点如直接统制另一个节点，就称作“母节点”；受统制的节点是“子节点”；如果两个节点直接受同一节点统制，它们是“姐妹节点”。一个节点在派生过程中与其母节点分离，就说它成了“孤儿”节点。
